I got my T04E 60 trim compressor upgrade from:
Performance Techniques
346 South "I" Street, #3
San Bernardino, CA. 92410
(909) 824-1020.
With the SOGI discount, the total was $750.00. The price would have been $450.00 if my core had been good, but they said that it wasn't and had to get me a new core, so the price was $750.00. It is a stock unit with a new larger compressor wheel. The stock compressor housing has been machined to fit the new wheel. The center section and turbine side were rebuilt back to stock specs. I decided to go with the T04E and a 60 trim. There are several trim levels available.
Besides looking like a new turbo, the biggest difference I noticed was the size of the intake wheel. The t04e 60 trim compressor wheel has a 2.290" inducer and a 2.950" exducer while the stock CT-26 compressor wheel has a 1.811" inducer and a 2.559" exducer. Adding the two together and getting an average, that is 2.1850" vs. 2.6200" for an average size difference of (0.4350") about one half inch.
Exhaust side
I took advantage of having the actuator off so I painted it so it would look new too.
This is the turbo that I made 437 RWHP/469 RWTQ at 18 psi with!
I used the stock intercooler with PVC pipes, stock fuel injectors, no fuel computers, Walbro GSS-315 and SX AFPR at 37 psi, 12 deg timing, no race fuel, no tricks on a hot rainy day!
Turbo Joel...
Joel Britt has the best pricing and service on rebuilds and balancing plus new and hybrid turbos. Full T04 turbos (not an upgrade CT) $350.00-$450.00. Best I've found anywhere.
Call 1-888-253-9950 (or 602-253-9953) and ask for Joel. You'll be glad you did!
