I started the restoration of my 1987 Turbo today (3/9/02). It was totaled about a year ago in a front end collision with a careless driver in a jeep. With the help of my good friend George Buckner of Buckner Auto Restoration (828) 670-6000 (Asheville, North Carolina) I should have the car back in good shape in no time.
UPDATE...
As of today, (3/29/02) the 87 is complete structurally and mechanically. It runs perfect and all the parts are bolted on and ready for paint.
12/10/2004 UPDATE...
I sold this car to my good friend Hampton Sams who's putting a lot of work into it including a complete inside/out paint job and lots of power mods! I'll add pictures upon the project completion.
The engine will be going back in basically stock for the most part, but just prettier!
