In all the pictures above, the elbows are JBLMk3 LR (long radius) on the left, JBLMk3 SR (standard radius, stock replacement) in the middle and a stock turbo outlet elbow on the right.
As you can imagine, there is a huge difference. No one has ever made more power with a CT-26 (upgraded or not) with any other elbow. With an all stock car with stock boost and 200,000+ miles, this elbow along with a 3" free flow exhaust made an additional 58 ft/lbs. RWTQ!
You need a full 3" exhaust if you want to get the most out of a 3" turbo outlet elbow. As you can see in the pictures above, the HKS 3" down pipe is not a full 3" at the turbo end, only at the other end at the converter. The only real improvement you would get from this down pipe would be that the converter is gone. This small size would kill the effectiveness of the enlarged turbo outlet elbow.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
