Actually, this section is not very difficult. All you have to do is take the stock IC pipes from the turbo to the intercooler off. Then take the stock rubber piece that is straight with a slight bend (app. 30 deg) on the end and attach the end with the slight bend on in to the turbo and the other end to a 45 PVC. There should be a piece of exhaust tubing used on this piece of PVC. Then use another of the straight sections of stock rubber to connect the other end of the PVC 45 to the intercooler. It's very simple and will get rid of some pretty sharp bends. The aluminum piece on the 87-88 models has a much sharper bend than the 89-92 models. It is really beneficial to get rid of bends and especially aluminum pieces as they cause a lot of heat in the charge air.
Top: 89-92 Stock Lower Section
Bottom: New PVC Section
Make sure to use the metal inserts at each end of the 45 deg street elbow. This piece gets the most heat because the air going through it comes directly from the turbo and can momentarily reach temperatures of over 300 F.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
